A Science Exhibition of CBSE schools under SAHODAYA was organised on January 5th, 2018, in Sushila Birla Girl's School. The topic of the Exhibition was 'Environment'.
Students from Class 8 of Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir took part in the programme.
Dr. Tapati Ghosh, President, Centre for Contemporary Communication, was the Chief Guest. The principals of various CBSE schools were present at the occasion.
The exhibit of BGKV was entitled 'E-Waste Management - Reality and Perception'. While 'Reality' included models and charts on landfills by electronic wastes, destruction of e-wastes by burning, and handling of e-wastes by children and women, 'Perception' included models and charts on collection of e-wastes in the collection centres, e-wastes recycling centre and a specialised device used to recycle metals segregated from e-wastes.
The Chief Guest appreciated the selection of the topics, models, charts and the demonstration given by the students of B.G.K.V.
