The 60th Annual Day of Bhavan's Mehta Vidyalaya was held on October 26, 2018. Shri K.G. Suresh, Director General of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, was the Chief Guest. The function was graced by the presence of a host of dignitaries from and outside Bhavan. Shri Ashok Pradhan, Director of Delhi Kendra welcomed the guests. In his address he highlighted the role of a teacher to instill moral, ethical and spiritual values among the students. The annual school magazine was released on the occasion. Various awards recognising academic and extra curricular activities were given. The Kulapati Gold Medals were conferred on Manavi Tripathi, Shreya Jain and Nisha Manavi for securing top ranks in Science, Commerce and Humanities streams. The Rajiv Gour Award of Rs.5000/- each was awarded to the Head Girl Manavi Tripathi and Head Boy Visesh Verma. The Alumni Batch of 84 cash awards of Rs.10000/- for Merit-cum-Means were awarded to Adnan-ul-Haw (9th Std.), Maaz Khan (8th std.), Radhika Singh (7th Std.), and Pratham Jain (6th std.) The N.R. Chandran Memorial cash award of Rs.3000/- for excellence in creative English was awarded to Sarthak Paliwal (Std. 11). The Daya Narain Nigam Memorial scholarship award of Rs,25000/- for the economically weak student, was awarded to Riya Arora (9th Std.) and the Smt Usha Choudhary award of Rs.11000/- for the best all rounder (special education) went to Agam Jain (4th std.). The Anuradha Raman award of Rs.11000/- for excellence in science (Alumni batch of 87) went to Madhav Gupta (Std. 11)
The Ceremonial prizes were awarded to Smt Aradhana Gambhir (PGT - Psychology) for motivating a student to score 100% marks in Psychology in Std. XII examination, Smt Anupa Jaitley and Smt Jasmine Nisha (PGT, SST) for motivating students to score perfect 100 marks in social science.
