Bhavan's School students win the prestigious India Today News Wiz Contest 2018. Master Sreeram Madhavan and Master Paul Binu, both from Std. X, Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Poochatty, Thrissur won the Wiz Contest on November 4, 2018. The contest was hosted by well known journalist, Rajdeep Sardesai of India Today and produced by the undisputed Quiz Master, Sidharth Basu, and his colleague Anita. The contest which began in August this year, had a large participation from across the country. In the Grand Finale, the Bhavan team beat Shishu Gruha Montesseri & School, Bengaluru, scoring 1450 points. The third place went to Little Flower School, Hyderabad.
Sreeram Madhavan is the son of Surgeon Dr. V.P. Madhavan, Aswani Hospital, Thrissur while Binu is the son of Mr. Paul, an executive of Walt Disney, USA.
The winners will get an all cost paid trip to the UK and a large number of prizes, sponsored by various agencies.
