At the annual science exhibition of the K/P West Ward organised by the Govt. of Maharashtra Education Department on the theme 'Scientific Solutions for challenges in life', Bhavan's Wadia School won Best School Award. 81 schools participated with 253 projects and exhibits. The static and dynamic models covered a variety of topics such as farming, including organic farming, health & hygiene, transport & communication, resource management, waste management, teaching aids and mass education. Interestingly, at the Sahashaley competitions held earlier, Bhavan's Wadia School teams bagged several prizes. The school's band won the first prize. The school also won the first prize for Mono Acting and Elocution (in which the teachers participated).
Shri Suhas Naik Satam from the Nehru Planetarium who inaugurated the Science exhibition also spoke in a session on 'astronomy and universe'. Other speakers were Shri Sunil Sharma (on Maths); Smt Namrat Mankar and Dr. Jayashree Gopalakrishnan (on the contributions of Nobel laureates); and Dr. A.P. Jayaraman, renowned nuclear scientist.
