Principals' Conference
The IXth All India Conference of Principals of Bhavan's Secondary and Sr. Secondary schools was held during October 22-25, 2018. It was inaugurated by Hon'ble Tamil Nadu Governor and Vice President and Trustee of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Shri Banwarilal Purohit (also the Chairman of Bhavan's Nagpur Kendra). Shri Shreehari Aney, Sr. Counsel and Member, Executive Committee of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Managing Committee Members of Bhavan's Nagpur Kendra and senior officials from various kendras of Bhavan, from India and abroad, were present at the inaugural session.
'Generating Leaders with Vision, Mission and Passion' was the theme of the conference that provided the participants with an opportunity to widen their perspectives; to include new and innovative ideas into the art of teaching and to get new insight into management skills. The conference had a participation of 67 principals from Bhavan's schools across the country and abroad. The event also provided them an excellent platform to interact with educationists, spiritual leaders, management gurus and visionaries.
In his inaugural address Shri Banwarilal Purohit quoted Mahatma Gandhi's words: 'There is enough on Earth for everybody's need, but not enough for everybody's greed'. He highlighted Bhavan's efforts to provide quality education to the masses. He also invoked the legacy of Kulapati K.M. Munshi who desired the future generation of Indians to be groomed in Indian values, ethics, tradition and culture, to ensure they can lead the Nation on the path of righteousness. Shri Shreehari Aney stressed the need for harnessing thinking power among the students. According to him, education should empower students to evolve determining abilities and decision-making qualities, which are essential part of leadership. He called upon the teachers to equip the students with skills which will help them face challenges in their lives. Smt. Annapoorni Shastri, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, outlined the purpose of holding the conclave.
Smt. Uma Vaidya, Former Vice Chancellor of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek, was the Chief Guest at the Valedictory function.

Arti Khosla (QCI Consultant) -'Primary Teachers Teaching Skill Certification-QCI Initiative'.
Dr. Ranjan Banerjee, Dean, S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai - 'Childhood - A Space for Learning'.
Dr. Shishir Palsapure (eminent speaker) - 'Stress Management and Managing Self'.
Shri G. Balasubramanian - 'Measuring what Matters'.
