Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir is the only school from West Bengal that had qualified for the National Level of the All India Science Drama competition organized by the National Science Museums in New Delhi during January 10 - 12, 2019. The competition could select 10 schools, including the Bhavan's school, on a national level. The major themes for the science drama was 'Science and Society with sub-themes covering : Digital India, Cleanliness, Health & Hygiene, Green & Clean Energy and Environment Conservation. The competition consisted of a workshop conducted by eminent personalities from the National School of Drama (NSD) on the first day, and they had played a drama 'Arogya' on the second day that depicted conservation of natural resources.
Srijonee Chowdhury (Std. IX) received the prestigious Best Actress award from Amal Allana, Chairpperson of NSD. The award consisted of a cash component of Rs.5000/-. The Bhavan's school was awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000/-
