Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School, Visakhapatnam is organizing a free Games and Sports Summer Camp from 24th April, 2019 to 7th June 2019 in its school premises, open for all the students of 8 years and above. The school through the Summer camp, is catering to the sports enthusiasts in six different games & sports namely Chess, Carrom, Throw ball, Volley ball, Table Tennis & Taekwondo under the guidance of eminent coaches. Basics of Yoga & Zumba (fitness) are the additional benefits. The summer camp is inaugurated at 7:00 a.m on 24th April by the Chief guests Sri K.Parthasarathy, Secretary, Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association & Sri Kesava Rao ,Inspector of Police, Maharanipeta. While addressing the gathering the chief guest, Sri K.Parthasarathy advised the students to learn basics of all the games. He also said that he is going to provide his wholehearted support to the students and provide coaches in giving training to the interested students. He encouraged the girls to excel in games & sports. He said that hardwork is the key to success. While speaking Sri Kesava Rao advised the school management to show the movies related to games which will be an encouragement to the students. The function was graced by august presence of the School Secretary, Sri. D.S.Varma, Sri K.Chakravarthi, PD, BVK, Sri B.Ramayya ,Secretary,Visakhapatnam District Basketball Association, Sri D.V.S.Y Sharma, Secretary, Visakhapatnam District Table Tennis Association, and Sri Ch. Narayana Rao ,ISOG, Chess Academy Secretary. The School Principal, Mrs. Shimpy Kumari addressed the gathering. All the coaches, parents, teachers and the students of various schools attended the programme. On the very first day itself 180 students joined the camp.
