Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Mehta Vidyalaya in memory of its founder Kulapati K. M. Munshi organised the 47th Munshi Memorial Inter-school and Lilawati Munshi Memorial On-the-Spot painting competition in the school premises in which 29 schools participated.
Commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the theme of the competition was 'Relevance of Bapu's ideals and values in today's scenario'.
English oration and Hindi debate (senior category) were new additions to the competition. The overall winner's trophy for Munshi Memorial Inter-school Competition was bagged by Montfort School, Ashok Vihar, New Delhi. Air Force School Balbharati, Lodhi Road was the runners up. In the Painting Category, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan won the runners up trophy; however in keeping with the school's tradition, the trophy was passed on to Amity International School. Vasundhra Gyan Bharati, Saket won the winners' trophy.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri Ashok Pradhan, Director, Bhavan's Delhi Kendra (Chief Guest), Shri A.S Awasthi, Registrar, Bhavan's Delhi Kendra, Dr. C.K. Arya, Manager, Mehta Vidyalaya and Mr. Rajesh Mishra, Deputy Registrar, Bhavan's Delhi Kendra.
