Green Ganesha Workshop
|
|
Since environment protection is every citizen's duty, Green Ganesha workshop was conducted in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School in which 520 clay idols of Lord Ganesha, which are eco friendly were made by the students of Std IV to X. In order to spread the message of green celebration strongly the children vowed not to use POP or coloured idols and took home the clay ones. They gifted them away to the little ones of LKG to Std III also. Students were extremely excited to take home the Ganesha Idols prepared by them. The significance of Ganesha Chaturthi and the impacts of POP and coloured idols were highlighted through a power- point presentation. The workshop and the awareness drive proved to be a source of delight for everyone including the teachers and the parents.
