Language fest
|
India is the land of rich cultural diversity. It has more than 122 major languages. Hindi is our country's official language and Telugu is our regional language in Andhra Pradesh. With Telugu Matrubhasha Dinotsavam on 29th August and Hindi Diwas on 14th September, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans Public school celebrated the "Language fest" highlighting the significance of both the languages. The students took part whole heartedly through their dance - drama and recitation.
The students paid their rich tributes to Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy by giving a speech about the contributions made by him towards Telugu language.Some of the students recited poems, sang patriotic songs adorned in traditional costumes. A group of students presented Burra Katha which provided an insight to our valued cultural traditions.
The students also spoke on the ability of the language to bind the people, there by the nation .They threw light on the contribution of great literates in Hind like Munshi, Premchand, Mahadevi Verma, Bhartendu Harishchandra and others and dwelt on the impact and relevance of Hindi in today's times.
Extracts from Telugu and Hindi literary masterpieces, famous quotes, poems adorned the school display boards and placards. The Principal Mrs.Shimpy Kumari commended the efforts of the students and teachers towards making the fest a success.
