Disaster Management- Community Outreach Programme

This programme was organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's, Smt. M.K Patel School, the Lead Collaborator School selected by the CBSE, under Hub of Learning (HOL) programme on 8 August 2019. The students of Four Network Partner Schools from Nadiad and Anand namely Anandalaya (Anand), Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Nadiad), Euro School (Nadiad), Podar International (Nadiad) participated. The objective behind this programme was to create awareness among the people about disasters and its consequences, develop an awareness of the chronological phases of natural disaster response, develop an understanding of why and how the modern disaster manager is involved with pre-disaster and post-disaster activities, understand the key concepts of disaster management related to development, and above all the relationships of different disaster management activities with the appropriate disaster phases.
