Bhavan's 7th Interschool Cultural Contest
|
246 children from nine schools participated in the Bhavan's 7th Interschool cultural contest on 21 September 2019 at the Marathi Sahitya Mandal in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Organised by the Navi Mumbai Kendra it had two groups, children below ten and children above ten.
Dr. Jasmi Doshi, Ph.D, D.Sc of Ghatkopar and UN representative was the chief guest.
Sahana Bhardwaj, of Sahana School of Performing Arts, and Amit Parmar and Akshay Salaskar, choreographers who have represented India and won several awards on TV programmes were the judges.
The children presented lively dances. The highlight of the day was a beautiful solo dance performed by an eight year old mentally and physically challenged girl, Komal of Asmita Special School of Koparkhairane.
