Remembering Gandhiji
|
The 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated at Thrissur Kendra on September 25, 2019. Shri Adv. Therambil Ramakrishnan, former Speaker, Kerala Legislative Assembly was the Chief Guest and Shri Talanad Chandrasekaran Nair, Gandhian and Social worker delivered the keynote address.
A quiz competition among school children in Thrissur district based on Gandhian life was conducted. Students from State and CBSE schools participated in two groups (Junior and Senior) and prizes to the winners were distributed at the function.
Cultural programmes depicting the Life and Messages of Mahatma Gandhi were also held at Bhavan's Auditorium, near Vadakkechira, Thrissur.
