The 144th Birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated on October 31, 2019 in association with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Trust. Sri Banwarilal Purohitji, Hon'ble Governor of Tamilnadu garlanded the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel situated on the Sardar Patel Road opposite to Raj Bhavan. He also presented Awards to 58 winners among the college and school students who participated in the Essay Competition held in various languages.
During this occasion the Bhavan's Journal Special (Diwali Issue dated October 31, 2019) was released by Sri Banwarilal Purohitji. The programme concluded with a thematic music titled "Kashmir to Kanyakumari" by Vidushi Devie Neithyar.
