G. Adithya wins the prize for best individual speaker at the CBSE National Debate Competition.

G. Adithya and Anjali Nair of Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara won the first place in the National Debate Competition organised by CBSE as part of observing the National Vigilance Awareness Week. Apart from winning the 1st prize for the best team which fetched them a cash award of
10,000 and a trophy, G. Adithya was also adjudged as the best individual speaker, winning a cash award of 5,000 and a trophy.
The Grand Finale of the competition held at the CBSE headquarters at New Delhi on November 18 saw 16 teams from 8 regions of CBSE schools battle it out, debating on the topic 'In spite of the provisions of checks and balances in the constitution, there is a strong need for the Lokpal bill'.
Principal of the school, Smt. Jaya Jacob praised the duo and opined that it was their efforts coupled with the wide exposure that they had got by participating in all the leading Inter School Debate competitions held in the city, that helped them to win the National title.
