On August 15, 2020, Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir paid the most fitting tribute to the motherland despite the COVID 19 lockdown phase. The school took the initiative of making a video presentation, putting together the performances of the students who have been restricted in their houses.
The Independence Day celebration programme began with the hoisting of the Tricolour in the school premises, followed by various performances like patriotic songs, dances, etc., by the Primary and Secondary Section students.
