Two students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, Anushka Sharma of Class 12 and Shiviya Arora of Class 9 proved their mettle in the Panchkula District Fencing Championship held recently by winning the top positions.
Anushka Sharma won three gold medals in the U-20, U-21 and the Senior category in the Epee event. Shiviya Arora, who participated in the Sabre Event, won two golds in the U-20 and U-23 categories, and also bagged two silver medals in the U-17 and Senior category in the Sabre Event. Held on the 17th and 18th of this month, the event saw participation of the best sportspersons in the said categories from the district.
