Students of Bhavan's Atmakuri Rama Rao school go on a peace walk as part of 'United Nations Week' Celebration.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Atmakuri Rama Rao School celebrated the United Nations' Week from October 24 to October 31, 2011.
The Social Science Department of the school organised a week long, programme. On the inauguration day, the Principal Mrs. P. Satya, spoke on the circumstances of two the World Wars and the establishment of the UNO. She highlighted the aims and objectives of the UN, its organs, its special agencies, India's contribution to UN (Panchsheel) etc.
Mrs. Moti Kumari from APUNA (Andhra Pradesh United Nations Association) flagged off the celebrations by reading the message of Ban Ki Moon (Secretary General of UNO). The students presented flags of the member states of the UN, spoke about various aspects of the UN and made colourful posters and charts. A peace march was organised and a peace song sung. A quiz based on the UN was organised for the students to sharpen their UN knowledge.
