Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Pathanamthitta, secured affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It is the first school in the history of Bhavan to be affiliated to CBSE on reaching the VIIth Standard. The school principal was congratulated for this rare achievement at the All India Bhavan's Principals' Meet, held at Vadodara, Gujarat from January 7 to 10 , 2013.
The Platinum Jubilee Building of Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Pathanamthitta, consisting of 20 classrooms, office etc. was completed in a record time of one year with the support from Central Bhavan and other well wishers in a sprawling campus of 3 Acres just 2 kms from the Municipal town. Shri T. K. A. Nair, Chairman, Bhavan's Pathanamthitta Kendra inaugurated the building. Hon. Secretary P. I. Sherief Mohammed welcomed the gathering that included Shri K. K. Nair, Ex. MLA, Smt. Sudharma Panchayat President, P. M. Johnson, Vice - President and others.
