Bhavan's SriVenkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati celebrated the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in a novel way in the School Auditorium. The English Club and Social Club of the school brought together students to chant a few sayings of Swami Vivekananda in chorus. Prof. P. Vijaya Lakshmi, Registrar, Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam, Tirupati, an eminent Professor of Communication and Journalism was the Chief Guest of the day.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hony. Director and Treasurer, Tirupati Kendra, said that the works of Vivekananda have inspired many a great souls world-wide like Mahatma Gandhi and Ravindranath Tagore, to name a few.
In her address, the Chief Guest Prof. P. Vijaya Lakshmi said that she was very glad to be associated with the spiritual activities conducted by Bhavan and she praised the contributions of Bhavan to society by way of inculcating good values among its students.
