Inauguration function of Bhavan's Cultural Academy and Center of Art
|
Bhavan's Cultural Academy and Center of Art was inaugurated on May 1, 2014 coinciding with Gujarat Foundation Day by Shri Mukesh S. Patel, Hon. Secretary, BVB Ahmedabad Kendra. Renowned local artists Biren Shukla, Nainesh Jani, Amit Vaishnav took part in the launch ceremony and gave performance on Gujarati Poetry and Sugam Sangeet. Other officials of Bhavan's Ahmedabad, were also present.
A programme on Matrubhasha Abhiyan, an organisation promoted and inspired by Shri Narayan Mahadevbhai Desai and Shri Gunvant Shah, was organised. The abhiyan is a result of the State Govt.'s initiative of 'Vanche Gujarat'. Regular activities are going on in various colleges, organisations and at public places to promote use of mother tongue. It was attended by Shri Rajendra Patel, Chairman of Gujarat Sahitya Academy. Large number of students and professors also attended the function. Dr.Neerja Arun, principal Bhavans Arts/Commerce College spoke about the promotion of Gujarati language through this medium.
