A group of students along with the school doctor went to River Ghaggar to clean its periphery of the vast debris lining it. Another group marched to Sec - 15 to make sure that the market area was made neat and clean. The students also took it upon themselves to clear up the neighbouring park and the pavements around the school.
The School's 'Community Service' Club made a foray into the slum areas of 'Mouli Jagran' to educate the dwellers about the importance of cleanliness there when a group of cleanliness crusaders was busy doing then bit in the community, the other school students set about the task of cleaning every nook and corner of the school.
Students of LKG to class III participated in the 'Swachha Bharat Abhiyan'. Principal Dr. Shashi Banerjee and teachers inspired the young minds by talking to the students about personal hygiene and sanitation in and around their surrounding areas and use of dustbins to prevent accidents and diseases. The students participated in cleaning their classroom desks, benches, shelves, window panes, doors and tiles under the supervision and assistance of their teachers. They also picked litter from the Skating, Fencing and Swing area of the school campus and effectively used the dustbin. The children also prepared charts and slogans on cleanliness.
