Wall display on GANIT week Quiz contest

The Mathematics Department of B.G. K.V. celebrated the GANIT (Growing Aptitude in Numerical Innovations and Training) week to commemorate the birth anniversary of eminent mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan and promote the interest of students in Maths and its applications.
A poster-making competition on the topic 'Mathematics in everyday life' was conducted for the students of class VIII. It was followed by a Mathematic quiz named, 'Who wants to be a Mathionaire?' for students of class X.
A seminar for IX standard students where Prof. V. K. Majumdar, Department of Mathematics, Rabindra Bharati University was the Chief Guest was held on December 17. Class IX students participated in a model and chart making competition while class X students took part in an essay writing competition on the topic, 'How to make teaching and learning mathematics easy.' The winners were given prizes and certificates.
