Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir, Salt Lake was awarded the Best School (CBSE) of 2014 by the Mother Teresa International Award Committee under the auspices of All India Minority and Weaker Sections Council. The ceremony was inaugurated by Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi, Governor of West Bengal along with Justice Shyamal Sen (former Governor of West Bengal), Patron-in-chief. Also present on the occasion was Rt. Rev Ashoke Biswas, Bishop of Kolkata.
