Bhavan's Delhi Kendra organised a function to mark the 133rd Birth Anniversary of Chakravarthy Rajagopalachari on Dec.10, 2011 at his statue in New Delhi as in previous years. The function started with the singing of Sarvadharma Prayers and patriotic songs by the students of Bhavan's Mehta Vidyalaya, New Delhi.
Dr. Varsha Das, former Director of National Gandhi Museum was the Chief Guest who said that the best tribute to Rajaji would be to follow the principles that he stood for i.e. his fearless adherence to truth, to follow the call of one's conscience, to be large hearted with no rancor or prejudice towards anyone.
G. Suwidha and Ansuhraj, students of Mehta Vidyalaya presented a life sketch of Rajaji's multifaceted personality. Shri C. R. Gharekhan, Chairman, Bhavan's Delhi Kendra exhorted the students to develop the inquisitive spirit exemplified by Rajaji. Shri Ashok Pradhan Director, Bhavan's Delhi Kendra & Dr. (Smt.) Anju Tandon, Principal, Bhavan's Mehta Vidyalaya also addressed the guests.
